To assist in the provision of management information to the Bank’s senior leadership on Capital, Impairment and Credit Risk matters &

Support the Capital and Planning Manager in completion of the annual ICAAP.

You will help facilitate the implementation and maintenance of appropriate and effective governance protocols, via the RCSAs, to ensure the timely approval of RWA, EL, providing comfort to stakeholders of the levels of capital requirements.

Key Accountabilities.

Manages and develops a detailed suite of management information for Capital, Impairment and Credit Risk each month including monthly variances and variances to the Bank’s approved budget

Support the monthly Bank Risk Report process for Analytics and Treasury Risk

Considers the impact of emerging trends on the ability of the Bank to deliver the strategic plan

Support the Strategic Planning processes and lead on the production and development of a Strategic Plan presentation for RWA, EL, Provision and Impairment ensuring it aligns to the Bank’s Risk Appetite

Develop understanding of the capital framework and the Bank’s capital requirements to enable review and challenge of the forward looking Pillar 2 capital estimates.

Develop relationships with key stakeholders in Risk, Finance and the wider business to develop a robust understanding of the Bank’s balance sheet and risk profile.

Provide insight / expertise in any Risk or Bank wide strategic projects, as required and represent Risk Analytics at appropriate committees.

Recommendations for changes to Risk Analytics control protocols, processes, policies and deliverables.

Help facilitate the implementation and maintenance of appropriate and effective governance protocols, via the RCSAs, to ensure the timely approval of RWA, EL, providing comfort to stakeholders of the levels of capital requirements.

 

What would we like you to have?

Educated to Degree Level, ideally in a numerate or analytical discipline, or with relevant professional qualifications.

Experience and understanding of methodologies and approaches to determine Risk Weighted Assets and Expect Loss, across all Retail portfolios (and ideally Corporate) and the current regulatory environment underpinning these (CRR, SS11/13 etc.).

Experience and understanding of methodologies and approaches to determine Pillar 2a capital requirements

Ability to communicate complicated matter in a clear and concise manner

Proven track record in external / internal stakeholder management and influencing at this level across a complex matrix structure.

Knowledge of Retail and Corporate portfolios, ideally in a credit risk environment, within the Financial Services Industry.

Previously worked in a risk management role, with evidence of regular engagement with senior management across various functions.

Awareness of the external market and relevant regulatory issues and constraints.

Proven track record in developing creative solutions to complex business issues and delivery within defined timeframes.

Experience of the ability to engage in technical issues translating these into business solutions.
