We promote a hybrid-working environment, which means you will work in our office in Manchester approx. 3 times a week and then remotely from home. To enable you to work from home, you will need to have a suitable office set up which includes a desk and a chair in a location which is free from the interruptions of day-to-day life.
The role:
In this 12 month fixed-term contract as Head of Delivery, you’ll have overall accountability for driving value for the business through the delivery of a significant portfolio with a focus on Infrastructure and Regulatory projects. We’re looking for the successful colleague to provide leadership, definition, planning and direction across a range of projects and have experience in driving complex programmes at a large scale. The ideal candidate will be delivery focussed with the ability to drive projects forward over the line.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver IT and regulatory projects to time, cost, and quality, enabling bank-wide transformation.
- Lead cross-functional teams and workstreams with clear governance and direction.
- Build and manage high-performing teams, shaping capabilities and driving continuous improvement.
- Own business cases and financial governance to ensure efficient, value-driven delivery.
- Manage senior stakeholders, suppliers, and assurance activity to mitigate risks and recover underperforming projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Leadership & stakeholder engagement at Exec/Board level; builds diverse, high-performing teams in matrix setups.
- Programme delivery of £25M+ budgets; recovers failing projects; skilled in agile and waterfall.
- Commercial & financial acumen including business cases, supplier negotiation, cost control, risk/issue management.
- Industry expertise in tech and financial services, with strong regulatory and Fintech awareness.
- Governance & frameworks knowledge; ensures delivery assurance and compliance in complex environments
