Product Manager (SME)

6 Month FTC - Until 28 May 2022

Location: Agile remote working - Manchester, Balloon Street

Band CR3

Working Hours: 35 hours per week.

About the role:

As a Product Manager you’ll be part of a team that manages the full SME product portfolio (Current Accounts, Savings, Cards, Loans & Overdrafts). You’ll be responsible for leading initiatives across the full SME product set - you’ll define customer experience, drive the commercial performance of the Bank’s SME business, and ensure strong application of the Bank’s Risk Management Framework across the SME product set.

 

What will this role involve?

*       Continue to expand and improve the range of specialist services provided to our customers by selected third party providers, leading engagement with providers to put innovative new products in front of our customers to help them run their business and drive income for the Bank.

*       Explore and take opportunities to expand the SME product set, including expanding eligibility for existing products and designing new products to meet a wider range of customer needs.

*       Take action to drive acquisition of new SME customers and manage attrition of existing SME customers, contributing to the ambition to double the Bank’s SME customer base in the next five years

*       Ensure appropriate monitoring, reporting, disclosures and remedial actions are completed to fulfil The Co-operative Bank expectations regarding the Conduct Risk outcomes as defined by the FCA

*       Ensure Conduct Risk requirements are fully reflected in Performance Development objectives, both own and team where appropriate

*       Commercial support and management of the SME P&L: pricing, planning, budgeting and forecasting with Finance

*       Provide SME support for implementation of all change initiatives either directly or through utilisation of SME leadership resource.

*       Monitor progress and provide reporting to senior leadership team on all change initiatives that impact SME banking

*       Performance Management of the customer experience via effective oversight of delivery areas. In particular oversight of MI, KPIs, change, risks and customer outcomes. Including trend, model and promotional analysis

 

Essential Skills

*       Experience within Financial Services industry

*       Excellent communications / Influencing skills

*       Track record in stakeholder management

*       Ability to solve problems within a business environment

*       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*       Stakeholder management

*       Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams

*       Proficient user of MS Office

*       Confident decision making skills

*       Sensible judgement and attention to detail

 

Desirable Skills

*       Experience of managing Business Banking products or services

*       Track record in core product management skills

*       Planning, forecasting and financial interpretation skills
