This role is predominantly home working with an expectation to attend our Manchester city centre HQ once per month.

The role:

 

To support delivery of the annual strategic plan and regular forecasts. The Forecasting & Performance Analyst will work closely with the Product teams providing high quality performance analytics to track ongoing product performance and to support effective decision making and understand the ‘why’ behind the numbers. You will support the Head of Performance working across different product areas.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

Customer

*       Produce robust, insightful analytics to ensure business performance and customer behaviour are understood. Ensure data is structured and integrated to provide a single “version of the truth” regarding customers and their relationship with The Co-operative Bank.

*       Develop and manage effective relationships with key internal stakeholders including the Product Teams and Finance.

*       Support the development of KPIs, systems and processes to measure customer experience. Use data to identify and support the definition of opportunities and changes to the customer experience.

*       Build, refine and communicate balance growth plans that build on the Banks brand positioning through its Values and Ethics.

People/Leadership

*       Ensure objectives are stretching and aligned to the Bank’s strategy and values, maintain effective PDPs and regular 121s.

*       Support a high performance culture through continuous personal growth.

Financial / Commercials

*       Build, develop and challenge annual strategic plans and quarterly forecasting.

*       Interpret data to understand root causes e.g. of performance issues; and/or to understand implications of changes (e.g. pricing or policy changes). Recommend actions.

*       Model scenarios e.g. pricing, promotions, business cases

Risk and process

*       Ensure compliance with risk appetite and ensure appropriate governance is followed for all decision-making.

*       Support governance and ensure all processes fully documented and any associated risks mitigated where possible. 

 

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

 

  • Makes decisions in relation to support provided and services carried out within company guidelines and broader procedures with substantial freedom in deciding on the best approach to deliver required outcomes.
  • Prioritise own workload within context of agreed operating plan.

*       Experience of the UK Financial Services marketplace, with experience of Banking products / categories (product strategies, pricing, analytics, competitor activity, market developments and trends) is preferable.

*       Understanding of critical category value drivers and commercial outcomes.

*       Experience of planning, forecasting and financial interpretation. 

*       Strong communication skills.

*       Strong excel and data interpretation skills.
