We promote a hybrid working environment, which means you will work at our office in Manchester roughly once a week and then remotely from home. To enable you to work from home, you will need have a suitable office set up which includes a desk and a chair in a location which is free from the interruptions of day-to-day life.

 

The role:

 

As a Junior IT Service Designer, you’ll be required to support the Service Design function with planning and decisions on the Design framework of all Services across the group – Bank + Society, aligning with ITIL practices.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assimilate design inputs into the deliverables of the function.
  • Involve in key design decisions that will constantly improve the journey of the service in the Lifecycle.
  • Contribute to meet changing business needs alongside targeted user experiences.
  • Be excited to grow the function at every available opportunity, within the realms of ITSM.

 
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the design and mapping of Business Services to IT Services, Applications and the underlying Infrastructure. 
  • Contribute to creation, deletion and updating the Service Catalogues.
  • Help defining the Target Operating Models with SLAs/OLAs & the adjoining documentation.
  • Coordinate to organize Workshops that galvanizes Business and IT, to understand the expectations for consistency with excellent customer experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Interest in ITIL and IT Service Management (ISM) with a passion for improving end-to-end service journeys and understanding and process mapping between IT and business services. 
  • Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills, with experience in engaging multiple stakeholders and resolving operational issues. 
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, supporting ‘health-checks’, identifying issues, and driving appropriate corrective actions. 
  • Skilled in stakeholder management; building relationships, aligning expectations and ensuring accurate and effective service design and delivery.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, service management and business requirements including use of tools such as Visio (desirable).
