This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop and own the Bank’s aggregate investment plan on behalf of the Managing Director Strategy & Simplification and ensure the operational effectiveness of executing the work in line with the Bank’s policies, risk appetite, ethics values and culture. 

 

Key accountabilities for the role include:

 

*       Ensure investment portfolio delivers to agreed performance targets (cost, time, quality).

*       Ensure that the investment portfolio regulatory obligations are met, within agreed timescales with the regulatory bodies.

*       Manage investment portfolio finances, reporting and financial control point updates

*       Co-ordination and management of IPOC, acting as Deputy Chair where required.

*       Oversight of Investment Portfolio and Annual Prioritisation Process.

*       Update and maintenance of the Bank Change Methodology (CTQ)

*       Manage Exec and Board quarterly transformation portfolio updates

*       Maintain and manage risks and issues at Bank investment portfolio level.

*       Ensure investment portfolio delivers to agreed performance targets (cost, time, quality).

*       Ensure that the investment portfolio regulatory obligations are met, within agreed timescales with the regulatory bodies.

 

Knowledge Skills and Experience required

 

*       Experience in strategic planning and execution including implementation of complex IT and business change

*       Numerically proficient with strong financial experience to drive value and costs benefit realisation

*       Experience and expertise of information technology and financial services operations, gained from working extensively with large, complex businesses.

*       Expert knowledge of programme and project management techniques (essential).

*       Deep understanding of process, technology and operational needs and challenges in large scale UK financial service organisations

*       Extensive track record in leading and transforming large scale IT organisations

*       Strong programme management / planning expertise required to co-ordinate and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changes in business requirements.

*       Experience of managing third parties to drive value through mutual, win-win outcomes.

*       Experienced at managing executive level regulatory relationships.

*       Adept at building high performance, assignment-based teams.

*       Track record in safely deploying change with minimal risk to service stability

*       Ability to shape own team, build capability and drive change, leverages diversity across teams, businesses and cultures.

*       Ability to build constructive strategic relationships across technology and business domains

*       Ability to influence at Exec and Board level

*       Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.

*       Track record in waterfall and agile software development methodologies/mindset.
