Job purpose:

 

To ensure the operational effectiveness of Business Continuity and Business Resilience plans across all RBB areas, enabling us to deliver to our customers.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • To manage, review and test business continuity plans, ensuring they are robust and effective
  • To manage, review and control business impact assessments
  • To lead engagement with First Line Risk to ensure the necessary controls are put in place
  • Provide support and challenge to the Channels ensuring best practice is followed
  • Support the co-ordination of incident management activity and maintain necessary governance and record keeping
  • Lead engagement with Communications Team, PR ,Service Delivery and Channel representatives in relation to incidents
  • Assess impact of incidents and change, make recommendations and provide approval/decisions around actions required
  • Production of post incident event reports and governance of mitigation activity

 

Key skills and experience required:

  • Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery
  • Understanding of the wider Bank resilience and continuity plans
  • Understanding of the Bank’s technology and how it is used across the business
  • Knowledge of the business including Retail, processes and applications
  • Ability to adjust communications to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide spectrum of teams and colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to use knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve  issues and remove barriers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration and decision making skills
