The role:

 

As a Trading Performance Manager specialising in mortgages, your primary responsibility will be to drive income through optimizing operational efficiency, enhancing sales performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting directly to senior leaders, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights, actionable recommendations, and detailed performance reports to guide decision-making processes. Your role will require a deep understanding of mortgage processes, market trends, and regulatory requirements to maximize profitability while maintaining risk management standards.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

CUSTOMER:

  • Conduct regular performance analysis of mortgage portfolios, including loan origination, servicing, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loan volume, conversion rates, and profitability metrics.
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting trends, areas of improvement, and actionable insights.
     

PEOPLE:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership regarding mortgage performance metrics, initiatives, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on performance trends, project statuses, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry professionals to stay informed of market trends and best practices.

 

FINANCE:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of trading performance metrics.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and outliers in trading data to inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive performance reports and dashboards for management review

RISK:

  • Develop contingency plans and stress testing scenarios to prepare for influx of applications and peaks in workload
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as risk, compliance, and technology, to align efficiency activities with broader goals

 

FUTURE:

  • Identify inefficiencies in mortgage operations and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, automation solutions, and technology enhancements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize performance

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Adaptable and proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to trading operations.
