Senior Technical Specialist – Treasury Systems

Remote / occasional work in nearest office (either London, Manchester, Newcastle or Coventry) 

Up to £65,000 + benefits  

 

The role: 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Treasury Application Support colleague to join our Treasury Systems team. This role will be responsible for providing application expertise and support for treasury and payment applications to meet business operational requirements, and to deliver project and build activity.

If you have great knowledge and experience in SWIFT, we would like to speak to you. If you are familiar with CHAPS and Bank of England applications that would be an added bonus.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

*       Provide high level of IT support for Treasury and Payment applications to ensure maximum service availability.

*       Occasional out of hours support to ensure business critical and regulatory tasks are completed.

*       Give guidance and mentoring to team members on systems, process, procedures and behaviours.

*       Working as part of a team or on an individual basis, assist with the delivery of strategic projects and represent the Treasury Systems team as a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ in project meetings.

*       Provide input into feasibility of new initiatives and system changes, highlighting associated benefits and key risks.

*       Liaise with suppliers and business partners to ensure effective and rapid resolution of technical issues and to deliver all agreed commitments. Engage with Major Incident Managers and Problem Managers in the event of high severity failures and for root cause analysis when requested. Identify and deliver BAU small changes and service improvements highlighting associated benefits and key risks as appropriate.

*      Advise and provide systems information and evidence for annual risk and audit returns. Identify and deliver opportunities for cost savings or efficiencies.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: 

 Must have technical / functional knowledge of SWIFT and associated payment systems

 

Technical and functional knowledge of some of the following Treasury IT systems:

 

*       Bottomline GTX (GT Exchange)

*       Bottomline TES (Transformation and Enrichment Service)

*       Bottomline MMCF

*       SWIFT Alliance

*       Swift Webaccess services eg. RTGS/Enquiry Link

*       Crest

*       Kondor+ or equivalent Treasury Management System

*       Bloomberg

*       Unix knowledge

*       Database development skills

*       Familiarity with call logging systems

*       Experience of dealing with business customers in an IT service delivery environment

*       Advanced level experience of IT systems support.

*       Solid experience of ITIL incident, problem and change management functions.

*       Demonstrable experience of mentoring junior team members or team leadership.

*       Must be enthusiastic, positive and quick to learn.
