SNR DQM Analyst, Independent Model Validation

Remote / Manchester

The Co-operative Bank is looking for a full-time Senior DQM Analyst, Independent Model Validation, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package, including flexible working arrangements.

 

In this newly created role within the Independent Model Validation team, you will inspect quantitative tools. You will learn about the full range of the bank’s operations, including product pricing, financial forecasts, balance forecast, interest rate risk, liquidity, anti-money laundering, and other credit risk decision-making.

 

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

 

*   Provide validation of the Bank’s quantitative tools that produce the financial reports

*   Present and discuss the outcome of your validation in forums and committees

*   Analyse and discuss monitoring and other reports to support decision-making regarding the satisfactory application of the computational methods across the Bank

*   Work collaboratively with the Bank's representatives

*   Proactively encourage a culture of best practice in data quality assessment, spreadsheet analysis, database management and coding standards.

 

To apply, you will need a degree in quantitative subject such as mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, physics or engineering. You will also require the following:

 

*   Strong experience working within an analytical function of a financial institution

*   Overall knowledge of the various mortgage, unsecured and corporate products

*   Credit risk management, analytical techniques and practices

*   Assessment of the Bank’s liquidity requirements and capital or provisioning requirements

*   Developing rules to identify fraud, ALM or PEP.
