The role:
As a Senior Buisness Analyst, you’ll work closely with Product owners and scrum team members to help create the backlog of user stories that is required for the team to deliver the upcoming improvements to our retail digital services. The role requires significant interaction with business stakeholders and third parties to help ensure customer and value based outcomes are captured in the release train backlog of work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Aligning to the product strategy and roadmap, with the ability to analyse and then translate the Feature level information in a full backlog of detailed requirements and user stories. This involves working with release train and business stakeholders to ensure the feature is correctly understood then working closely with the Product owner and scrum team to create a workable and deliverable backlog.
- Working with all members of the scrum team to ensure that the work is deliverable, this means organising and leading backlog refinements to enable the developers and testers to ask questions regarding the acceptance criteria of the work.
- Providing further analysis artefacts regarding the change, such and process flows and business design documents, as required. Critical to be able to explain the incoming change and its areas of impact on the wider operation to our stakeholders in business readiness.
- To support the Practice in the continuous improvement of Business Analysis within the product model at the Society, helping ensure that the Practice is leading the way in collaborative, effective, straightforward, and high quality Business Analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstration of a broad Analysis skillset
- Evidence of effective RAIDDA management
- Experience of solution development, requirements management and process analysis
- Awareness and exposure of industry best practice
- Substantial knowledge of SAFE, Agile and Waterfall lifecycle methodologies
- Knowledge of project governance and risk management frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, up to Director level and engagement with 3rd Parties
- Ability to manage differing requirements across the business and manage any conflict
- Excellent planning and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workloads to best meet demand.
- Good understanding of commercial, financial, regulatory and legislative requirements
- Customer focussed with the ability to promote this across the wider team
- Evidence of leading Continuous Improvement which enhance the Business/System analysts artefacts and capabilities to drive best in class standard
- Extensive experience as a business analyst/system analysis within financial service
