To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in all elements of the credit lending lifecycle, the ability to lead deals up to 5 million autonomously within commercial lending. This includes strong credit report writing and customer portfolio management skills. You’ll be supporting your business banking portfolio with their every day banking needs as well as growing our strong presence in the North.
This role involves travel to our SME Business Banking/Commercial clients across the North/North West UK, working from home in between. Our head office is based in Manchester City Centre Balloon Street. The role:
Be an ambassador for the Co-operative Bank and all that we stand for in the local SME business community, working hand in hand with internal and external stakeholders to provide first class service to new and existing customers. Manage a portfolio of existing customers that fit the Relationship Banking criteria, and attract new customers to the Bank, becoming a “Trusted Adviser” to the business owners.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
* Good credit skills in a commercial lending environment up to c.£5m within the UK market
* Work well in a team setting, especially with key stakeholders such as Credit and Product
* Ability to autonomously produce credit reports
* Ability to work remotely and flexible in approach
* Reliable and ethical, respecting customers’ confidentiality
* Good negotiation skills
* Ability to manage risk in line with the Risk Management Framework
* Ability to identify the features and benefits of products and services we offer
* You will have , or be able to quickly develop, specific sector knowledge
