Regulatory Reporting Specialist 

Remote/Manchester

Band C - £35K - £46.4K

35hrs per week

The role:

 

As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of regulatory returns to the Bank’s regulators; including CoRep and FinRep to the PRA, statistical reporting returns to the Bank of England, and other Finance related returns to the PRA and FCA.

 

As one of the smaller banks, this role is an excellent opportunity for direct exposure to our key stakeholders and a chance to be part of our growth journey in 2022.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • You will support the Regulatory Reporting Lead to ensure internal controls relating to regulatory reporting are embedded and that risks are identified and appropriately managed.
  • Prepare accurate and timely returns for submission to the regulator, and be able to demonstrate understanding and rationale for figures as part of review process.
  • You will help facilitate delivery of regulatory reporting change ensuring interpretation is in-line with the regulatory requirements, and work with key stake holders to implement regulatory change.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with key stakeholders in the Finance, Risk and wider business to develop a robust understanding of the Bank’s balance sheet and risk profile.
  • Scope of reporting requirements includes but is not limited to: CoRep and FinRep quarterly returns, Bank of England (BoE) monthly and quarterly statistical returns, and new finance regulatory returns that are required by the Bank’s regulators

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 

*       Previous experience of Financial Services and knowledge of the industry’s accounting standards and regulatory framework.

*       Ideally part or fully qualified Accountant.

*       Specific knowledge of one or more of CoRep, FinRep or Bank of England reporting preferred.

*       Understanding of regulatory rulebooks including CRR and the PRA rulebook.

  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach / team-player.
  • Experience of liaising with management, across teams and functions and being a key person in a high performing team.
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting systems (including RegData, BEEDS, XBRL solutions) preferred but not essential.
