£40,000-£45,000

Full time: 35 hours

Open for remote working/Manchester office base

The role:

 

We are excited to announce a brand new opportunity for an ESG and Sustainability Manager. This role will drive forward and lead aspects of the bank’s Values, Ethics and Sustainability strategy, aligning activities to the bank’s strategic aims, delivering commercial objectives, driving productivity and managing risk.

What will this role involve?  

 

Drive the bank’s Values, Ethics and Sustainability strategy, aligning activities to the Bank’s strategic aims, delivering commercial objectives, driving productivity and managing risk.

Delivery of CSR programmes to drive positive social and environmental change.

Lead and project manage the Bank’s Net Zero strategy.

Lead on the relationship with key ESG ratings agencies and co-ordinate rescoring projects

Be the subject matter expert on ESG trends, concepts, targets and strategy

Support the delivery of ESG products and services across the organisation.

Horizon scan for ESG regulations, and develop knowledge of the key regulations which apply to The Co-operative Bank today and in the future.

Engage confidently with key internal and external business stakeholders to engage, galvanise and deliver our values, ethics and sustainability objectives

 

We are interested:

  • Previous experience working in a CSR, sustainability, ESG role essential. Experience of working in the financial services industry desired.
  • Communications/PR experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in the development of environmental and sustainability strategies with a good understanding of scope 1,2 & 3 reporting and Net Zero target setting and delivery.
