Cyber Security Recover – Fusion Cell Analyst

Manchester/Hybrid

35 hours per week 12 month secondment

We promote a hybrid working environment, which means you will work at our office in Manchester roughly once a week and then remotely from home. To enable you to work from home, you will need have a suitable office set up which includes a desk and a chair in a location which is free from the interruptions of day-to-day life.

 

Purpose of the role:

 

The role will be accountable for supporting the Banks Fusion Cell, a multi-disciplined challenger entity, uniquely placed to proactively prevent, detect and disrupt economic crime. The role will have a focus on supporting cross-team collaboration, threat hunting, brand protection and incident response.

A key part of your responsibilities will involve working with the wider Bank teams to identify, and where possible deliver, areas of improvement that could help the Bank to reduce cyber-enabled fraud losses.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

*       Identify and support the delivery of improvements relating to cyber-enabled fraud at the Bank.

*       Monitor industry threat intelligence (open and closed source), escalating within the team and wider business where action may need to be taken.

*       Contribute to governance and management information associated with the Fusion Cell.

*       Conduct fraud hunting based on threat actors, techniques, tactics and procedures to present opportunities to disrupt the upstream cyber enablers of economic crime.

*       Become an active member of threat intelligence organisations and collaborate with peer organisations, law enforcement and other critical suppliers (e.g. telecommunications companies).

*       Represent the Bank at threat intelligence sharing groups to assess the maturity of existing Bank controls and collaborate on potential improvements.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 

*       A genuine interest in cyber security, fraud prevention and threat intelligence.

*       Willingness to work with multinational 3rd parties and suppliers, as this is a key part of delivering projects within the Bank.

*       You're a passionate technologist, keen to develop your skills and learn about the latest emerging technologies and threats.

*       The ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment within a growing team.

*       Knowledge of Agile ways of working preferable.
