The role:

 

As an Assistant  Product Manager you’ll support the Senior Product Manager and Product Managers to deliver key activities that allow Mortgage Product Team to function on a day-to-day basis. You’ll be responsible for delivering commercial objectives, target customer outcomes via channel and marketing mix for new and existing customers, all within Bank defined risk appetite.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

*       Support Senior Product Manager to deliver End2End ownership of the customer experience and journeys.

*       Ensure timely and efficient implementation of agreed pricing and rate changes, including ensuring readiness for Base Rate changes.

*       Analyse key complaint information and other insight about customer need to ensure summary monthly position is understood. Identify problem areas and provide recommendations for corrective action.

*       Investigate opportunities and deliver changes to the mortgage customer experience where necessary, arising from customer journey reviews, customer complaints, risk events and customer facing queries.

*       Management of monthly campaign activities, including existing customer maturity / retention communications, via liaison with key stakeholder areas (ie. Marketing, Digital, Operations, Credit Risk, Compliance).

*       Support a customer-first culture which inspires and motivates colleagues across Mortgage Directorate.

*       Set clear objectives, plan and work with delivery areas on the tactics to deliver against the plan and oversee timely adherence.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

 

Essential                                                

*       Knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace

*       Experience of working within a mortgage function

*       Good stakeholder management skills

*       Strong communications and influencing skills evidenced through a number of techniques.

 

Desirable

*       Educated to degree standard

*       A level of understanding about the Product Management function, including concepts such as identification of customer need, product strategies, pricing, product innovation, customer proposition, regulation, competitor activity, market developments and trends.

*       Track record in planning, forecasting and financial interpretation skills.
