The role:
As a Supplier Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for management & oversight of key IT suppliers within the Bank. This involves management of Value, Service and Risk. You’ll work closely with Procurement Leads and business stakeholders in managing post-contract performance, ensuring delivery is in accordance with the contract terms and agreed service levels and that contracts are kept current via the contract change governance process. The successful Supplier Contract Manager will gain great exposure on other projects alongside their BAU and will be an integral part of helping to formulate and shape the banks new processes alongside their talented team.
Key Accountabilities:
Support in implementing and developing the Banks Supplier Management Framework .
Ensure consistency in the application of the framework across the Bank
Be the Bank’s key representative to the supplier, demonstrating the Bank’s values in all interactions.
Attend and provide input into relevant project/ BAU management meetings covering critical implementation and integration planning of potential and future outsource arrangements
Work with 2nd Line Risk (Compliance) reviewing arrangements that may be deemed critical or material (including outsources)
Lead periodic validation of the Outsource register and regulatory submission
Monitor and manage the supplier performance via a regular review (in line with the banks framework) through the balanced scorecard providing appropriate feedback to both the supplier and business areas.
Manage non material contract change control process applying any adjustments to business governance and/or operating processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Experience of working in a regulated environment with IT Suppliers.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Must possess an excellent standard of professional communication, both written and verbal, and have experience in developing and presenting corporate messages at all levels.
Good understand budgetary and financial planning material and represent the Bank in delivering cost saving discussions.
Effective time management skills in a deadline driven, highly independent environment
Highly organised with proven planning skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload and negotiate priorities
Purchasing, Supply Chain or Contract Management experience
Relevant commercial and general business experience;
Change and project management experience
Proven ability to operate and influence at senior levels and with external supplier
Experience of SYSC 8; EBA & PRA guidelines would be advantageous.
