Senior Analyst (Impairment)

This role is home based, with occasional in office meetings at our Head Office in Manchester City Centre.

A fantastic opportunity has become available within our team as a Specialist Impairment Analyst. You will be responsible for the ownership and development of the Bank’s governance and controls in relation to Credit Risk Impairment.  

You will have the opportunity to be part of our regular Impairment analysis and take part in new project initiatives, playing a key role in the MI, reporting and tracking of impairment performance against the Bank’s Strategic Plan.  

You will be working with ECL (expected credit loss), IRFS9 and Impairment controls

What would we like you to have?

 

SAS skills (or strong similar programming experience)

Strong Analytical skills / MI /Reporting skills.

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Knowledge of Retail and Corporate portfolios, ideally in a credit risk environment within the Financial Services Industry (desirable)

Excellent investigative, analytical and problem solving skills.

Extremely strong communication (written and verbal) skills, including well developed presentation skills.

An understanding of the methodologies behind the determination of impairment under IFRS 9 would be a distinct advantage.
