Are you interested in furthering your project knowledge and joining Jason Stiffs teams supporting & inputting into multiple projects. We are looking for strong communicators that can engage with our stakeholders, you will need an understanding and some experience or exposure of supporting into projects.

 

Role purpose:

You’ll have excellent communication and organisational skills, performing a supporting role working with Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters and wider delivery teams to effectively establish, plan, manage, deliver and control change programmes and projects in line with the Banks Change framework.

 

You’ll have a passion for change delivery and for both personal & team growth, with drive to progress into Project Management and Delivery Leadership. You’ll directly contribute to ongoing development and continuous improvement of the change programme and project capabilities, building knowledge of the governance and risk framework, enabling effective delivery of the portfolio of projects on time, within budget and within scope, meeting the needs of the organisation.

 

Key Accountabilities:

*       Providing flexible, hands-on delivery support and assisting with effective communication between project management and business teams

*       To assist in the production and maintenance of project scope documents and business cases, project plans, risk and issues logs and other project related documents

*       To follow up on outstanding project actions in a timely fashion, managing escalations with the delivery lead as required

*       To support in collation of project and team feedback / lessons learnt surveys

*       Work with the Delivery Lead to co-ordinate the production of project reporting on a regular basis to all project stakeholders

*       Providing secretariat support to key Project Working groups as needed and attending other project team meetings as required

*       Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and act as point of contact for some external parties as required

*       To facilitate and support the delivery of key portfolio meetings, primarily Investment Demand and Small Change Triage meetings, including scheduling and management of attendance, preparing agendas and papers, creating meeting packs for senior colleagues when required, writing minutes, tracking meeting actions

*       Support project closure and feed into lessons learned activity for future delivery initiatives

Maintain a good understanding of risk and control requirements relevant to the role, ensuring compliance and that due regard is paid to the interests of customers and that they are treated  fairly, including managing risks and issues as they arise, collaborating with senior business or technical roles as required to resolve them.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

*       Experience of relevant project delivery, a project management qualification is desirable but not mandatory

*       Awareness and understanding of both waterfall methodologies and agile methodologies

*       Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers

*       Banking/financial services experience desirable, but not mandatory.

*       Experience of working in a large, complex and dynamic environment, ideally regulated

*       Good knowledge of project management frameworks and governance approaches in a relevant environment.

*       Strong level of analytical, organisation and presentation skills with a medium-term planning view, proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications

*       Proven understanding Risk and Issue Management.

*       Good understanding of the financial services industry, political environment, regulatory and industry legislative issues.

*       Communicates effectively at senior levels, in a style appropriate to audience.

*       Skilled communicator with suppliers, contractors, stakeholders and the rest of the organisation

*       Strong customer focus and ability to promote this same focus and culture across the wider team

        Ability to work as a key member of a team and independently where required.

*       Experience of Banking/IT operations and processes desirable
