Location: Working from home 

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: Full Time - 35 hours a week 

Salary: up to £24,500 

 

Role purpose: 

As a People Service Administrator, the key responsibility is to provide HR administration support within the People function in line with the annual plan of activity.

 

Key focus will be supporting the pre and in employment screening activity for Bank colleagues, but also supporting with administration more widely across the Customer and People Team.

 

Key accountabilities: 

  • Ensure accurate set up of new starter cases on electronic portal – ensuring continuous
  • progress checks to ensure colleagues are fully screened in line with agreed SLA’s and role start date
  • Liaising with candidates and colleagues to ensure provision of required information and documents
  • Ongoing assessment of any issues with screening process or results – escalating any concerns to your Leader
  • Assist in the review and on-going maintenance of HR related documentation such as people policies, processes and information across the HR intranet pages, ensuring these are current and user friendly.
  • Provision of a wide range of HR and Payroll support in line with monthly payroll cycle
  • Provision of support to both colleagues and leaders across the Bank with queries and request via HR support
  • Wide range of administrative support for People function projects and activities in line with the annual calendar of activities
  • Supporting the administration of the Banks recognition scheme, including tracking nominations / winners and maintenance of the associated intranet pages
  • Support the People function with the implementation of new processes, procedures and regulatory changes

Knowledge, skills and experience required: 

  • Experience of working with payroll administration or HR
  • Experience of working in a role where sensitivity and confidentiality are a high priority
  • Competent in all Microsoft applications including; Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience of workload management and prioritising conflicting requests/working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with staff at all levels
  • Most work involves both written and oral communication, word processing and typing, and requires relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Will be required to show initiative and judgement and be comfortable making decisions
  • Experience of working in an office environment, with good customer service skills and ability to work in a team
  • A willingness to own / tackle problems as they arise, able to identify issues for upward referral
  • Possess a high level of detail consciousness and understanding of customer needs
