About the role

 

2021 is an exciting time to join our strong Communications Team. As an External Communications Executive you will be responsible for the Bank’s corporate relations, creating press releases, working closely with journalists and supporting the delivery of the Bank’s sustainability strategy. As the UK’s original ethical bank our ethics and values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking to speak with credible candidates with a solid background in reputation management, working closely with the press, and a wealth of knowledge on communications within a regulated environment.

Key requirements

Demonstrates business, commercial and operational understanding

        Ability to translate issues and information into clear messages for stakeholders, at pace

        Experience of transition and change

        Ability to work as part of a flexible and fast-moving team

        Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence (persuasion, empathy, diplomacy), with an awareness of the media’s different audiences and sensitivity to how they are addressed.

        The ability to identify, build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external contacts, including media and key public affairs stakeholders

        Resilient and copes under pressure and in crisis

        Credible in approach with a robust understanding of risk and reputational risk
