About the role:

 

This is an excellent opportunity to play a lead role in supporting a member of our Executive leadership team.  You will be integral to the planning process of a highly successful area of the Bank.

You will run meetings, be involved in succession planning, setting departmental budgets, cost management, providing insightful management Information and business reviews on behalf of the Executive. You will be seen as a go to person and be integral in the transformation of the current business to make it more efficient and capable of delivering against the future strategic aims, supporting the coordination of departmental projects and initiatives where required and reviewing documents on behalf of the Executive.

In addition, provide support to the wider leadership team and people department where necessary. If you have previous experience as an Executive Business support or Lead role and like to work in a fast paced, demanding, very rewarding & sometimes challenging role we would love to hear from you. This role provides exposure to our senior leaders across the bank so experience of dealing with key stake holders at a senior level a must.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Works collaboratively with other areas of the Bank to support the delivery of an integrated and seamless approach to customer service at all touch points, in order to deliver results across the balanced scorecard
  • Responsible for the production of moderation packs, as well as ensuring all ratings are input into the system as per required timelines.
  • Creation and refreshing of a robust succession plan for the Function.
  • Support compliance with industry regulations, challenging where required to ensure activities completed within the Function and on behalf of the Executive are adhering to and cognizant of any regulatory requirements, risk mitigation and reputational exposure.
  • Have an awareness of the key risks and issues affecting the Function.
  • Sponsor / lead / contribute as appropriate to internal and external projects and initiatives.
  • Support Functional resources and activities in line with budget requirements.
  • Cost oversight and challenge alongside the leadership team, supporting central cost activity.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement throughout the Function, delivering operational excellence within the business
  • Main point of contact for Executive/Senior Leader requests and generic area activity.
  • To manage complex and demanding diaries, anticipate and coordinate travel arrangements, facilitating the most effective use of the business leader’s time and reconciling conflicting demands.

 

What would we like you to have? 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and network as required.
  • Experience in supporting business leaders and managing multiple priorities.
  • A good understanding of the support requirements of business leaders in a financial organisation.
  • A track record of understanding the business requirements of business leaders to enable the delivery of effective support.
  • Successful track record in providing timely and efficient support to business leaders and being productive in doing so.
  • Expert level use of electronic communications, document management systems, expense systems, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • High level of tact and integrity and ability to negotiate confidently and professionally at all levels.
  • Understands sensitivity of high profile relationships.
  • Analytical thinking, with the ability to understand key issues and support change
  • Excellent negotiating, networking communication and influencing skills to manage relationships and navigate challenges
