Graduate Application Process
We've designed our process so we can get to know each other better along the way. You'll be able to show us what you can do and you'll get a real insight into what it's like to work here. We assess people using a range of assessments including:
Online application and screening
To apply, fill in the details on the application page and submit. When you’ve sent us your application, we’ll send an email to let you know we’ve received it.
Online psychometric tests
If you pass the application screen, we’ll send you a link to complete our Numerical, Verbal and Numerical and Inductive Tests:
An inductive reasoning test is a common form of aptitude test (in addition to numerical and verbal reasoning tests). These types of psychometric tests are designed to measure your problem-solving abilities, or ability to apply logical reasoning.
In a numerical reasoning test, you are required to answer questions using facts and figures and in each question, you are usually given a number of options to choose from. These numerical reasoning tests contain questions that test your knowledge of Ratios, Percentage Increase/Decrease, Cost and Sales Analysis, Rates and Trends, and Currency Conversions. Accuracy is essential so try not to rush or guess answers.
If you are successful at the online testing stage, the first stage of the interview process is a live online interview conducted by our talent team. We’ll ask you a series of competency based interview questions and there will be one question that we will ask you to pre-prepare for in advance.
The interview will focus on the key behaviours that support success in the role and indicate your potential as a future leader within the business. It will also address the motivation behind your application and the values that are important to our organisation.
If you are selected to attend our face-to-face assessment centre the day will involve:
- Case study & role play
- Group Exercise
- Competency-based interview
- Pre-agreed presentation
The assessment centre is designed to give you the opportunity to showcase your capability and we recognise that assessment centres are a two-way process therefore we encourage you to use your attendance as an opportunity to gather whatever information you require in order to ensure our graduate programme matches your career expectations and aspirations. To help facilitate this we will run an initial welcome/information session and also provide you with the opportunity to talk informally to current graduates and business managers during the day.
If you are successful at the assessment centre we will call to offer you a final interview with the director from your chosen business area. If you are not successful this time we'll let you know and provide you more feedback as to why.
