Managing the Bank’s liquidity and structured funding strategy we represent the Bank in its active markets. We govern and control the first line approach of the Bank’s Legacy Portfolio and are responsible for all Recovery & Resolution Planning activity that goes on here.
Based in Manchester, you’ll rotate through different teams within the Treasury department and get stuck into a variety of exciting projects. Growing your skills while helping to shape the future of a team that always believes in doing the right thing, your journey will take in such areas as:
Treasury Liquidity Management (TLM) where you’ll focus on the management of liquidity and funding risk. Performing stress testing on liquidity to ensure that the Bank has sufficient funding to survive in a variety of theoretical scenarios, you’ll monitor cashflow across the bank, model current and future liquidity positions, support the production of liquidity MI and deliver strategic planning and policy reviews.
Treasury Risk & Control where you’ll learn all about embedding our Risk Management Framework within Treasury. Involved with Treasury Risk & Control Self Assessments, you’ll help to perform gap analysis of the Bank Policies and Control Standards and co-ordinate and produce key MI.
Treasury Capital Markets here, you’ll learn about executing and maintaining the UK Regulated Covered Bond, Moorland LLP, residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS) and capital instruments, such as hybrid and subordinated debt securities. Engaging with the financial markets to access funds with a maturity of more than a year, you’ll support the management of the Bank’s term wholesale funding programmes.
Treasury Legacy & Portfolio here you’ll learn how to manage a performing legacy loan portfolio of c£1.3bn which the Bank is actively seeking to deleverage. The loan book is made up of Real Estate, SME, PFI, Renewable Energy, Asset Finance and Social Housing customers. You’ll help to manage the exposure down, aim to improve yield and decrease capital consumption.
